Refinance Checklist:
Filling out a loan application is the first thing required upon making the decision to refinance. A variety of other documentation will be needed to help a mortgage lender approve a home loan for you. The documentation needed will vary depending on the lender you choose, your loan program, and your personal financial situation.
Below is a list of documents helpful, if not necessary for the home refinance process:
- Proof of income – Please have original pay stubs for last 30 days of employment.
- Copies of your W-2 forms – These verify past employment and income history. Required for each loan applicant.
- Homeowners Insurance Copy – This verifies current and sufficient coverage on your home.
- Asset Information – All account information - This includes: Accounts holding money for closing costs, statements for savings, checking and 401K accounts and investment records for mutual funds or stocks.
- Title Insurance- This will help your mortgage lender verify the taxes, names on the title and legal description of the property.
At the beginning of the refinance process, your ZeroPoint Lending consultant can tell which documents you'll need to get approved. They will vary depending on where you live and which loan program you've selected. Just remember that the more information you have ready before you apply, the faster you'll get approved for your loan. |
